What is better than getting to watch the biggest sporting event of the year? Watching the biggest sporting event of the year while promoting your business! Most of us do not have $1 million to invest in a Super Bowl add during the game, but you can still do some smaller scale marketing without breaking the bank.

Live a little, throw a Super Bowl Bash and sponsor it with your company name. Whether you are in the position to rent out a venue, a room at a venue or have a party at your place, it doesn’t matter. Send out invites through all of your social media outlets, even if you are inviting the same people, you are automatically giving a reason to promote your business in a fun, new way that you wouldn’t typically advertise. This can get the attention from some people that may not normally pay attention to your usual social media marketing.

Now that you have sent out the invites. Let’s start planning how to subtly advertise throughout the party. There are a lot of very inexpensive ways to throw your company name out there. Start with little things, I know it sounds silly, but have some buttons designed with your logo and some with the teams logos on them. Have them set out and let everyone pick which team they are routing for. I would pick the Broncos button this year with your logo on it. Chances are, at the end of the night, those buttons are going to be going home with people. This will then allow them to think about your company the next day or maybe even days later depending on how rough the night ended up being for the person.

Put together a grab bag for everyone. People are either going to take them and use them or they are going to leave it there. Either way, no loss to you. These gifts may be as simple as:

  • Cozies,
  • Bottle openers,
  • Pens,
  • T-shirts,
  • etc.

Create games to play during the Super Bowl to keep those non-fans involved, along with anyone who may like to win a little extra money. Google Super Bowl games to play and you will find a plethora of options.

Some of my favorite games are:

  • Super Bowl Prop Pool – You and your party guests will make predictions on who will win, the final score, score after each quarter, and so on. You can google how to create the sheet you will need or you can design this yourself.
  • Super Bowl Commercial Bingo – You can again, google Super bowl bingo sheets to print off or design them yourself. You play this be crossing off a square when you see that item or company during the Super Bowl commercials.
  • Super Bowl Cook Off – Have people bring dishes to the party, which cuts down on your cost and at halftime, have a competition by letting everyone vote on the best dish at the party.

Again, these games can be sponsored by your company. Sit back or be active, if there is anyone at your party that you do not recognize, make sure to go out of your way to talk to them and introduce yourself and your company. Have fun and enjoy your time watching the game with all of the people who came to celebrate with you.
